Splash Meet - IMPORTANT INFO
Good evening team,
I just received all details for the Splash Meet this weekend; thanks for being patient!
There is a lot of info, so please read carefully.
Location: Frances Meadows Aquatic Center; 1545 Community Way, Gainesville, GA 30501
Versus: South Division of North Georgia Swim League: 6 Teams. (The other 7-8 teams are in the North Division Splash Meet)
First Session (Ages 4-10): Arrive by 7:45 AM. Warm-ups at 8:00 AM. Meet Starts at 9:00 AM
Second Session (Ages 11-18): Arrive by 11:45 AM. Warm-ups at 12:00 PM. Meet Starts at 1:00 PM
**Do not miss warm-ups**
Attire: Dolphin swimmers must wear either the team suit or a blue suit. Every swimmer MUST wear a team cap. No other option is allowed. If you have not received your cap yet, it will be at the meet. Let's show our team spirit by having your child wear our team tshirt! We love to see parents represent with team apparel as well!
Seating Area: This facility has an upper level spectator area. Parents are not allowed on pool deck - swimmers and coaches only.
What to bring: Water, healthy snacks, 2 towels, a sharpie, $ for concessions, and of course your camera!
Attached are the meet timeline, meet entry report, and the heat sheet. Please note that relays are put together starting with the four fastest times/combos. If your swimmer is not in a relay, then there were not enough teammates to form another one in the same age group. I had to also move a few swimmers up an age group to fill in the last spot needed to make a relay. *** There is no bias in choosing relays. I go strictly off of personal best times, which for many new swimmers are from our mock meet***
The host of this meet will NOT be selling heat sheets, so you may want to print them out to bring.
If you see a "NT" beside your child's event in the meet entry report, it stands for No Time since they have not previously swum it.
If you did not RSVP "Attending" for this meet, your child is not entered in it and cannot participate.
Please let me know if you have any questions! I'd be happy to answer any.
I look forward to seeing some fast swimming!
Coach Andrew
