MealTrain/Counseling
Hello Dolphin Families,
After our last email update, we were made aware that even though he is doing very well, Steven was transferred to Grady and is awaiting skin graft surgery for the road burn injuries he sustained Monday. At this time, he is expected to remain hospitalized through next week, as he continues to recover.
Since so many of you have expressed wanting to support the Starling family at this time, we have set-up a MealTrain to lighten the day-to-day load of the family as they travel daily back and forth to be with Steven. Anyone wishing to, can sign up to provide meals, drinks or snacks & donations at the following link:
At practice last night, we also received a visit from Kevin Brookshire, a minister from Hebron Church. He has generously offered to return to the pool tomorrow at 7:30pm, during practice, to speak with parents & swimmers on how to cope with the trauma of witnessing the accident. We encourage everyone to attend the group talk he will hold first for parents, and then decide if they would like their swimmer to participate in a group talk he will hold for the kids. Of course, anyone who would like to speak with him one-on-one can also do so at this time or by reaching out to him directly at:
(770) 653-1476.
Lastly, please be on the lookout for an email later this week with details for the Splash Meet this Saturday, June 4th.
