Week #4

THIS WEEK’S HIGHLIGHTS:

MEET #2: BERKSHIRE BARRACUDAS vs DACULA DOLPHINS

This week is our third Swim Meet of the season. Swimmer’s times will be recorded and count towards County Rankings. (The top 50 swimmers in each age group, for each stroke, as well as all Relay-A teams.)

Berkshire Meet Protocols:

POOL

• 2608 BEDDINGTON WAY, SUWANEE, GA 30024

TIMING

• 5:20 - Dacula Dolphin Warm-Ups
• 6:00 - Meet Starts Promptly

PARKING

Please park in the main parking lot of the Berkshire Community Pool. Street parking is allowed on one side of the street. Please follow the signage.

SEATING:

BULLPEN is on the RIGHT side of the pool.

Families & swimmers are encouraged to bring folding chairs, blankets or extra towels to sit on. Spectators are welcome to sit on whatever side of the pool we wish to, as the Barracudas say they consider us all neighbors! 

CONCESSIONS

Snacks, drinks, pork sandwiches and pizza will be sold at their Concessions.

We will also be bringing a cooler of complimentary water bottles for our volunteers and swimmers, which will be kept in our bullpen area.

VOLUNTEERS

***Reminder - Due to our Team’s Staffing Shortage,

All Dacula Dolphin Volunteers work the entire Meet. ***

Our Volunteers will have a break when they announce “Second Shift”.

The theme for Berkshire Barracuda’s Meet is: Red, White & Blue.

SPECIAL MEET OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL DOLPHIN SWIMMERS:

GEORGIA PARKS & REC STATE CHAMPIONSHIP MEET

IN COLUMBUS, GA.

7/19 - 7/20

This meet will be held at the Columbus Aquatic Center, in Columbus, GA. (Columbus, GA is approx 2 hours away and attending this Meet

will require a 1-2 overnight stay, at your own expense.)

Time Trials for this Meet will be held at:

Collins Hill Aquatic Center - Saturday, 6/22 at 8:00 am

2200 Collins Hill Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30043

**(Must bring a copy of Birth Certificate with you to trials)**

***Only the Swimmers with the Top 3 Times in each age category, for each event, as determined at the Time Trials on 6/22 will qualify to attend this Meet.***

This is a GWINNETT COUNTY PARKS DEPT Meet = NOT GCSL.

Swimmers will represent GWINNETT COUNTY as the Gwinnett County Team

NOT as the Dacula Dolphins.

However in the past, our Dolphins 

have made up the majority

of the Gwinnett County Team!

*Information regarding practice & etc. for this GA Parks & Rec Championship Meet 

will be sent at a later date to those swimmers who qualify for the team.

All swimmers who would like to try out for the State Meet Team must declare the

3 strokes they wish to swim, on our website under the “EVENTS” tab.

Please check which swimmer will attend and list their name, age and the 3 strokes they will swim in the comment section by Friday 6/14 at 6pm.

Also please be sure to reply Yes or No to the Meet volunteer job question.

***If you have already RSVP’d on our website for the qualifier, please go back in and edit your response & write in the strokes your swimmer will be doing as well as your availability to volunteer at the Championship Meet.***

to try out for the Gwinnett Team. 

This is a great opportunity for our swimmers to show-off their skills 

while representing both

the Dacula Dolphins & our wonderful Gwinnett County!

* 6/14 - Team Bonding - Picnic in the Park - 7pm - 9pm

@Bogan Park Pavilion - 2723 N. Bogan Rd NE Buford GA 30519

Join us for picnic games - Volleyball, Kickball, Spoon Races, etc. We’ll be serving Hot Dogs and Drinks! Bring your lawn chairs and any games or equipment to play with your teammates.

* 6/14 - RSVP’s due for GA Championship Meet Qualifier. 6pm. (On our website)

* 6/20 - Home Meet #4 - Dacula Dolphins vs Rivershyre @ Bogan Pool - arrival 4:45 pm

* 6/21 - Practice at Dacula Pool - ALL PODS - 7pm - 9pm

* 6/22 - GA Parks & Rec Championship Meet Qualifier - 8am - Collins Hill Pool.
